About Us

Greetings from Greece!

In these crazy economic times it is not easy to find ways to put food on the table, let alone for a gluten-free vegan. Some might say it is a disaster waiting to happen just to try to afford vegan products. We are here to offer ideas and support to vegans everywhere who are struggling with this just as we do. Where we live there are very few options for organic food markets and especially for gluten-free vegan options! This has forced us to get creative if we want variety in our day to day food planning. We would like to share some of our ideas with other vegans as well as gain feedback and new ideas from the vegan community.

A special note about gluten-free: Some people have to be gluten-free because they were born with allergies preventing them from eating gluten. Other people have read research done on gluten and choose to abstain from consuming gluten to benefit their health. Whatever your reason may be, we are gluten-free vegans looking for solutions in our diet as well.

We do not own a vehicle so we do most of our shopping by walking to the super market, farmer’s market or in some cases travelling three hours by bus to Athens to buy the products we need. We are dedicated and committed to our diet (obviously).

Sincerely,

  1. Hello, another frugal veg-head here! Though I’m not gluten free. Looking forward to thrifty veggie ideas, so many vego blogs use such a lot of exotic ingredients it’s unreal!

  2. Hey there! I just discovered your blog and love it! Great title, I’m a fan of the show, “Two Broke Girls”. I’m vegan and try to be thrifty, but I struggle with this. I look forward to learning from you!! Celeste 🙂
